The building program, and the space, perceived as both private and public, open and closed, are approached through the idea of a continuous flexible programmatic strip.
The building explores in a programmatic level the idea of a simple concept. It is configured as a production line for space that remains fluid, designed to accept alternative solutions and within the same structure. The linear form transforms the program into a flexible strip. The strip moves around at the edge of the site and swirls in order to embody the building’s mass. The strip in its movement organizes also the open space and creates a large inclining square with two open patios. Thus, both the closed and the open space are configured through the same gesture, resulting in an extrovert complex, with a recognizable character and programmatic flexibility.
